Title

Alabaster Flask With Stopper

Subject

Hellenistic Stone Vase

Description

The Alabaster Flask with Stopper was very similar in shapes and sized to glass vessels.
"Medium: Calcite (alabaster)
Dimensions: H. 8.79 cm
Classification: Miscellaneous- Stone Vases"

This is connected with poverty because it shows who was wealthy and who was not. This particular vessels definitely looked expensive and only the rich were able to afford it. This also relates to poverty because it is very likely that the lower class created these vessels so that the rich would be able to enjoy any drink that was given to them in a beautiful flask. I am very interested to see how this flask was made, how long it took and how much effort was put into only one of these flasks.
