This Gold ring was made out of solid gold and cabochon garnets. This piece of art relates to the term "Poverty" because if you had money or was a wealthy citizen this would be an item you would buy and then like to show off. Hence it was a pretty expensive piece of jewelry. This could've also been an item that could've been transferred in a family from generation to generation. A lot of the jewelry was passed down through family and generations at the time.
