Wooden document

This ancient wooden document was discovered in Niya. It was dated 200 C.E. and was some sort of contract. Traders from northern Afghanistan and Pakistan brought it to Northern China via the Silk Road (Hansen 2012). This benefitted the chinese people because in that part of China, they did not have a written language yet so they were able to create their own based on this wooden docment.

This source supports my thesis because it shows how the Silk Road benefitted a part of China by giving them access to traders with a writen language. This was my images source module because it was an image of an artifact that was created during the time of the Silk Road.
