Title

The Scribe Nebmerutef

Subject

Egyptian artifact

Description

This artifact shows a scribe being watched over. My guess would be that Scribes were looked at with respect in the time this was created, which would be why he was being watched over by the god Thoth. So, this would lead me to believe that people of a lower class or lower respect value would not be watched over by their gods. Which would indicate that they are not as worthy as the higher respected people.
