Learning Goals and Grading Criteria

Student will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the ability to synthesize multiple sources in a historical argument.
  2. Analyze how the use, access, and meaning of water influenced historical actors in pre-1500 Africa.
  3. Write a paragraph using standard college usage.

Instructions

Using the three sources from the OER project, write a paragraph analyzing how use, access, or making meaning with water influenced the historical people covered in the readings. Be sure to include explicit mention of all three sources.

Requirements

  1. One paragraph of 125 to 400 words.
  2. Analysis discusses use, access, or making meaning with water of all three sources.
  3. Paragraph written with standard usage of appropriate spelling, punctuation, and capitalization.
  4. Paragraph uses appropriate academic integrity, quoting words that are not the students.
